The 12.2-inch XPPen Magic Drawing Pad is a versatile, standalone android tablet that’s a delight to draw on.
The included stylus is passive pressure sensing pen, which does not need power supply or Bluetooth pairing. Just pick up the pen to draw.
There is one button along the side of the pen. This is programmable in some applications like Clip Studio Paint, Infinite Painter or Ibis Paint X where you could assign it to something like Undo or triggering the Eyedropper.
In krita, the pen Button do not work at all. but in the future, it may be available.
1. Customize the button for the “Clip Studio Paint ”
Method 1: In CSP, you can set a different tool under Modifier Key Settings.
Make sure “General settings” is selected in the top left, then check the “Pen/Gesture” tab to bring up the pen-specific settings and modify the entry for “S-Pen Button.”
Since it’s an Android tablet, it qualifies under the same input as the Samsung S-Pen.
Method 2: Just tap the Clip Studio logo in the drawing window. Clip studio logo > shortcut setting > menu command > edit > undo.
2. Customize the button for the “ibis Paint X ”
Step1: Open the ibis Paint X app, go to Settings – Supported Stylus and select the pen as “X3 Pro Pencil”
Step2: Go to Settings – Stylus Settings – Button1 and select the function you need, for example, select “brush/eraser”.
Note:
The ibis Paint X app needs to be upgraded to V11.1.1 or later.
Update the driver of Magic Drawing Pad. Go to system > system update > check for updates.
