Most Gaomon pen display tablets like the PD1161 or PD1560 Pro ship with a pre-installed screen protector, but sometimes it can be tricky to tell. Here are a few ways you can check:
1. Look for Edges or Lifted Corners
Inspect the screen closely under good lighting.
Sometimes you’ll see a very thin edge or tiny gap near the bezel where the film meets the glass.
Gently Swipe your finger across the edge, the screen should be level with the body, if it’s not, there’s a screen protector. And sometimes you may notice a slight lip if there’s a layer.
2. Check for Bubbles or Dust
Factory-applied films can sometimes trap very small air bubbles or dust specks.
Tilt the screen and look at reflections — bubbles are easier to spot at an angle.
3. Feel the Surface
Glass feels smoother and cooler to the touch.
Screen protectors usually feel slightly softer or have a matte texture, especially if it’s an “anti-glare” one.
4. Read the Specs / Box
Gaomon’s product pages or manual often mention if a pre-installed anti-glare film is included.
Many PD and PD Pro models ship with one pre-applied.
5. Test With a Plastic Card (Optional)
Take something like a plastic card edge and gently press it against the corner.
If there’s a protector, you might see it shift slightly without damaging the screen.
(Do not pry too hard — you don’t want to peel it off accidentally if you want to keep it.)
